What to bring in Spring

Posted by Bakers Delight at October 13, 2011 in Real bread

Leave a comment on this blog by Wednesday 2 November for a chance to win $30 worth of bread vouchers.

Now that spring is upon us, the sun is out, the days are longer, shorts and t-shirts are out in force and the outdoor furniture is back in use – it’s definitely the entertaining season.

What better way to enjoy the warmth of the spring time weather than being in the company of friends and family over some food and drinks… Relaxing, having a laugh and filling up on food (and not too many drinks) is ideal for me, and it feels overdue after what seems a long and cold winter here in Melbourne.

At most of the BBQ’s I go to, Kettle chips feature prominently.  Crackers, dips, cheese and fruit platters will regularly fill the table at these get-togethers.

As I get ready for the picnics that come with the Spring Carnival season, I know I’ll always face the dilemma of ‘what do I bring to share?’ Whether it’s chocolates, soft drink, crackers or more Kettle chips, I know one thing is for sure, I can always drop in at my local Bakers Delight to pick up a Twisted Delight.

No matter what the occasion is, Twisted Delight’s are the perfect accessory. Packed full of flavour from end-to-end, Twisted Delight’s can be torn apart for all to enjoy.

The Twisted Delight is now one of the items that guests expect to see at the table during spring when I am around!
Whether it’s for finger food at a party, to accompany casual drinks or even to please the hosts when you’re asked not to bring anything to a BBQ – the Twisted Delight is always a crowd pleaser… So long as there is no stand-off for the last piece!

My favourite flavour is Spinach & Feta, but I know that Cheese & Bacon is always a winner with my nieces and nephews. I’ll always make sure I pick up one of each so that the kids can enjoy their own while the adults dig in for themselves. There are also Chive & Garlic, and Pesto, Sundried Tomato & Capsicum flavours, so there will be something to please everyone this spring.

With so many flavours already to choose from, we want to know, if you could create a flavour of Twist, what would it be?
